Florida’s historic legacy allows visitors to visit sites ranging from its indigenous pre-history through the era of the first Spanish exploration of North America—including the first Christmas in the US—to Florida’s modern state history. Further, as a state capital and home to one of the nation’s largest universities, Tallahassee offers many other cultural experiences and athletic events.
